Livia Firth takes #30wears pledge to Cannes Film Festival wearing Stella McCartney for the Green Carpet Challenge

Our News

Founder of the Green Carpet Challenge (GCC), Livia Firth, continues her pledge to re-wear her past GCC gowns, wearing a Stella McCartney gown for the GCC to the premiere of LOVING during the Cannes Film Festival.

Livia’s gown is made from GOTS certified organic floral cotton embroidery, organic silk georgette and organic silk crepe de chine, accessorised with Chopard jewellery, a Roger Vivier clutch and Sergio Rossi shoes- all well beyond #30wears.

Colin Firth joins his wife by re-wearing his classic Tom Ford tuxedo and Chopard watch made with Fairmined gold.

This Stella McCartney gown was inspired by the movie Accident directed by Harold Pinter, re-interpreted by the designer as part of the Green Cut initiative in 2012.

The Green Cut was a unique exhibition curated by Eco-Age during London Fashion Week 2012 in collaboration with the British Film Institute and the British Fashion Council. It brought together the very best of fashion, film and sustainability, commissioning 8 beautiful sustainable pieces by Alice Temperley, Roksanda Ilincic, Jonathan Saunders, Antonio Berardi, Tom Ford, Stephen Jones, Stella McCartney and Mario Schwab.  Each piece was inspired by an iconic British film to raise awareness about sustainability in the creative industries.
