Christopher Kane, acclaimed fashion designer, has created two beautiful dresses for the Green Carpet Challenge (GCC®) capsule collection. Made to the highest eco-certification standards, the first is a grey sleeveless gown and the second is a navy halter-neck dress. The two pieces exemplify sustainability and elegance, heightened by the Advanced Elements lead-free Swarovski crystal embellishments and 100% OEKO-TEX® certified silk.

Educated at Central St Martin’s, Kane is an influential young Scottish designer who brings new blood to the sustainable fashion industry. Since launching his signature label in 2006, Kane has been pleasing his fans with progressive collections that have rendered him a fashion favourite. He has already been recognised by the fashion industry, and his awards include the Scottish Fashion Awards’ Young Designer of the Year in 2006 and British Fashion Awards’ New Designer of the Year in 2007. His accomplishments include his 2006 capsule collection for Topshop, and a past collection with Net-a-Porter in 2009. This sold out within 24 hours of release.
He says, “I’m happy to be involved with Livia and the GCC. It’s a worthwhile cause to educate and improve awareness of ethical fashion. The project has been a challenge but worth it. I’ve learnt so much about the complexities of sustainability. I hope the dresses prove that ethical fashion is achievable whilst being equally glamorous at the same time.”
