Erdem has brought his extensive fashion experience to the ethical table in the guise of two ethereally beautiful dresses. The gown showcases the talent behind our British ateliers who hand stitched the intricate flower detailing to the top of this stunning dress; illustrating the benefits of these skills which have been honed over generations. The stark contrast between the striking black and white makes this dress truly stand out in a crowd, the silk fabric and lining used is made from 100% OEKO-TEX® and the flower detailing is hand stitched contrast white OEKO-TEX certified French lace applique.

The second dress, a cocktail gown, was showcased by our very own Livia Firth, who fell in love with the classic design of this dress and chic colour juxtaposition. This white silk dress is made from 100% OEKO-TEX® certified silk and lining, with contrasting black Newlife fabric (satin from 100% recycled plastic bottles) band. The breath taking black lace appliqué is also OEKO-TEX® certified. What better way to celebrate British design and ethical sourcing and production.
Erdem says, “The Green Carpet Challenge has been an interesting project to be a part of. I like knowing that many of the mills I’ve worked with for years already supply sustainable fabrics and I’ve also been introduced to new and interesting materials in this vein. It’s important to be aware of sustainability and Livia Firth, through this Green Carpet Challenge has done such an amazing job of bringing further attention to the subject of sustainability within luxury fashion.”
