It was with great pride that Eco-Age Creative Director and Founder of the Green Carpet Challenge (GCC) Livia Firth received the ‘Green Award’ at Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards 2013. It was presented to her by long-standing friend and supporter of the GCC Tom Ford, in recognition of Livia’s contribution to the growing focus on sustainability and ethics in the fashion industry.

Livia chose to wear the stunning black wool and silk gown which Victoria Beckham created for the inaugural ‘Green Carpet Capsule Collection’ launched at this year’s London Fashion Week, with Net-a-Porter at Apsley House. It was accessorised with a pair of stunning yellow diamond earrings and a ring, both from Chopard’s high jewellery collection. Made with fully traceable stretch black wool from Australia, Livia’s gown was spun, twisted and woven into a contrast bodice. It was a perfect choice for the evening, as Victoria Beckham was also honoured with the Special Contribution to Fashion Award, presented to her by International Herald Tribune Editor Suzy Menkes.
Other winners included Green Cut Designer L’Wren Scott (Tastemaker of the Year), Natalia Vodianova (Philanthropist of the Year Award), Idris Elba (Man of the Year). Cate Blanchett was presented with her award as ‘International Actress of the Year’ by Colin Firth, who was wearing Tom Ford.
