The GCC Shakes and Stirs the Bond Premiere
Sometimes we like a baddie at the GCC, especially one who gives eco a naughty twist. Javier Bardem might be playing James Bond’s latest nemesis Silva, but when he walked the Skyfall red carpet in London last night his tuxedo was positively virtuous.
Yes, Javier became the latest star to join the GCC and the first man to wear Gucci for the GCC, wearing a made-to-order black three-piece Signoria tuxedo made from 100 per cent organic wool with recycled satin lapel and trim detail, a 100 per cent organic cotton white dress shirt, and a recycled satin bowtie.
The materials were produced following GCC criteria as the great design house, Gucci once again worked with us to realise a dream of ours: to get sustainable style on to the Bond red carpet. Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini said, “Designing with organic and recycled materials was an inspiring challenge to marry my creative vision with sustainability standards, and I am particularly delighted for Javier to join us in this effort.”
Javier, you are our latest hero. A counter intuitive position for Bond baddie but there we are.
