Today’s luxury consumers have higher expectations of fashion brands than ever before, and with a growing consumer demand for more sustainably produced items, 2017 is the tipping point for retailers. Over 65% of emerging market consumers now actively seek sustainable fashion leading to retailers taking a closer look at how they can deliver products with reduced environmental impact.

The business has partnered with Eco-Age to develop a comprehensive sustainability programme with the aim of placing sustainable and ethical practices at the heart of what it does.

In recent months MATCHESFASHION.COM has been working with Eco-Age, looking at the entire organization to help understand and manage its environmental and social risks. With specialised brand and consumer insights, supply chain, sustainability and fashion expertise, Eco-Age is ideally placed to support this process. Future projects will offer ongoing support to brand partners and suppliers with the objective of improving sustainability performance together.
