The Gary Harvey Oscar Dress

Green Carpet Challenge

We’re off! Here’s the Gary Harvey dress…This is the first picture for you. I’ll explain the corsetry/engineering and everything else as we go… Eleven dresses in one, vintage/thrift/charity shop buys all from the era of The King’s Speech. Every part is recycled, repurposed, upcycled. It feels amazing (corset not withstanding!). Colin, I think, looks incredibly handsome in his Tom Ford tuxedo and Chopard watch.

The jewels are stunning as well. “I almost fainted when Livia flipped back the lid of the jewellery boxes and showed me tonight’s jewels (and I wasn’t even the one in the corset!)” said Lucy. “Anna Loucah has used the most ethically sound materials we have to create exquisite, fresh, contemporary pieces. This is the way jewellery should be (in my opinion!).” The gold is Fairtrade, fairmined, ecologically certified, sourced by Cred Jewellery, a world first from the Oro Verde mine in Columbia, set with Aquamarine gemstones (Fairly traded and traceable from the Lundazi community owned mine in Zambia) and diamonds, from Liqhobong Womens-owned Co-operatives mine in Lesotho.
