The GCFA 2020 was hosted by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI) in partnership with the Italian government and Eco-Age. Read through the below to find out everything you need to know on this year’s event.

Slide Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI), in collaboration with Eco-Age, and with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), pioneered the 2020 edition of The Green Carpet Fashion Awards (GCFA).

Directed by Grammy-nominated Giorgio Testi and produced by Emmy Award winner Pulse Films, with Tendercapital Productions as executive producer, this revolutionary show designed by NorthHouse combines cinematic footage with a fusion of augmented reality and visual FX created using real-time game engines, and with the world’s leading talent and opinion formers appearing as holograms courtesy of ARHT Media.

The GCFA 2020 also had a physical event in Shanghai hosted by partner APAX and attended by key Chinese personalities.

The First Digital Green Carpet

The world’s first digital green carpet platform launched two weeks prior to The GCFA, with an interactive globe showcasing sustainable looks from guests attending past editions of the awards. On the 10th October, the platform transformed into an interactive carpet featuring over 150 celebrities, industry leaders and friends of the GCFA, sharing their GCC looks and communicating important messages of sustainability.

The GCFA 2020, Shanghai

This year, The GCFA saw a physical event in Shanghai, hosted by our partner APAX. The event, held at the iconic Shanghai Tower, saw a host of celebrities and brands in attendance.

Social Coverage 

Talent, media, brands and influencers posted globally both in the run-up to and post event this year with more than 180 social media accounts tagging #GCFAItalia. The social media engagement for the Green Carpet Fashion Awards 2020 achieved a reach of over 334 million which is triple compared to 2019.
