This London-based premium rainwear brand is bridging the gap between fashion and function. On Good Authority merges contemporary design with technical construction to create waterproof jackets that are built to last, with longevity in mind. The idea came about in 2016 at a particularly rainy Glastonbury festival. Relentless wet weather meant that the co-founders Sara and Hannah spent the event in their waterproof hiking jackets feeling frustrated at the compromise between style and practicality.
Their unique approach to rainwear was to choose their favourite outerwear silhouettes and apply waterproof fabrics and construction to them. The result? Rainwear you love to wear that’s smart enough for the office, stylish enough for dinner after work, and protective enough for a weekend escape to the countryside. Built by women for women, On Good Authority makes its jackets from recycled waste plastics, using a non-toxic water repellent finish, produced in a factory where ethical practices are essential. On Good Authority is a vegan-friendly brand, using no leather feathers or fur.
