Deputy Content Editor

We’re looking for a dynamic Deputy Content Editor to join our digital and content team for a 9-month fixed term contract (maternity cover) to continue to lead the growth of the Eco-Age digital content platform. 

In this position, you will work closely with the digital, consultancy, communications and events teams to build out a daily content strategy to produce and commission the highest quality content to serve every facet of the business as well as, most critically, entertaining, engaging and informing our fast-growing audience.

Key responsibilities will include the running of a forward-looking content calendar fed by strong SEO; agile daily editorial content creation; liaising with new and existing contributors to commission the highest quality content; overseeing, editing and proofreading all content published on the Eco-Age website and social channels to maintain quality and tone of voice; close collaboration with our social media editor and multimedia designer to ensure strategic social growth across existing and new social platforms; and performance reporting. 

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience as a key member of a digital publishing team, with people management experience and experience managing a CMS desirable. You will be a positive and proactive person with a strong passion for sustainability.  You must have excellent written and spoken English and strong social media knowledge.
