Naturally De-Puff Your Eyes
Finding natural remedies for our puffy eyes and dark circles really is as simple as rifling through our fridge and kitchen cupboards. Prioritising cold and hydrating, cucumber slices and frozen spoons can help to dramatically reduce any puffy inflamation; while boiled teabags (allowed to cool to room temp) will give any tired eyes a much needed caffeine boost.
Facial oils are the best way to get glowing, moisturised skin, combatting any dry winter skin that may be suffering in the cold. Our favourites are rosehip, seabuck thorn & jojoba oil fo their high vitamin content and antioxidant qualities – just make sure you’re buying organic and cold pressed where possible.
Hydrating Face Mask
Whilst this may sound like a delicious smoothie recipe, this hydrating face mask is perfect for moisturising your skin. In addition to the vitamins and hydration provided by the bananas, cacao’s antioxidant properties will help with any irritation and inflammation of the skin. Apply to clean skin and leave on for 10 minutes, before toning and moisturising after.
Anti-Pollution Face Mask
The best way to tackle pollution skin problems is with anti-oxidants, of which almonds and olive oil are full of. Let the fatty acids and high vitamin content of these two simple ingredients absorb into the skin and leave you looking bright and glowy. Leave on for 10 – 15 minutes post-cleanse, before washing off.
Grapefruit & Lime Lip Scrub
Whether it’s the summer heat or the winter cold, our lips can become quickly chapped. This DIY lip scrub is good enough to eat, with all natural ingredients. Simply mix melted coconut oil with all other ingredients and fill a small tub. Use on dry lips before then washing off and moisturising.

Here’s a quick and easy recipe to last you longer than just Sunday… make your own natural toothpaste (and yes it works). Conventional toothpaste often contains microplastics as well as toxic ingredients such as SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) which is why making your own is a great alternative.
What you’ll need:
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1/2 tablespoons baking soda
10 drops of food-grade peppermint essential oil
Simply mix all of it together, fill the paste into your jar and you are ready to brush your teeth with bamboo toothbush.
