Get ready for a weekend away with these sustainable travel bags and backpacks.

If you’re anything like us you’ve spent January so far planning your next holiday (if you haven’t, see our best eco-resorts and the most sustainable cities to visit for travel inspo).

But before you head off on your next adventure, check out these perfect stylish and sustainable travel bags, holdalls and backpacks for packing to take with you.

Elvis and Kresse weekend bag; £299.99

Elvis and Kresse make their signature bags out of decommissioned British fire-hoses. The lining of this weekender is made from rescued Burberry textiles and comes in a reclaimed military-grade parachute dust bag. As if that wasn’t enough, 50% of profits go to the Fire Fighters Charity. Since it’s also water-resistant, durable and the brand offers repairs for life, this bag is the perfect companion for your travels.

Fjällräven Greenland backpack; £130

You might have seen Fjällräven’s Re-Kanken backpacks around - especially on the backs of eco-warriors - as the Scandinavian brand works a lot towards making their outdoors products as sustainable as possible, with some items made from recycled plastic bottles. This unisex backpack is made from recycled polyester and organic cotton.

Patagonia Black Hole® duffel bag; £130

We couldn't pull together our favourite adventure-wear without mentioning Patagonia of course. Patagonia makes sustainable outerwear and this duffle bag is made in a Vietnamese factory with a ‘Zero-Wastewater Discharging System’, in which all of the wastewater from their manufacturing is treated onsite and utilized to water trees surrounding the factory.

Christopher Raeburn REMADE Russian Blanket bag, £195

London-based ethical brand Christopher Raeburn makes luxury garments out of recycled or upcycled materials. This bag, which doubles as a backpack, is crafted from upcycled Russian Naval Blankets. Each piece is unique as the blanket varies in colour and details and is therefore made to order.

Sandqvist Zack duffle bag; £82.50

Sandqvist have a wide range of weekenders (including some made from organic cotton), but this one is our favourite. The duffle bag also doubles as backpack, holds up to 26L and is made from 100% recycled and durable polyester. Multiple pockets and sleeves make this the perfect functional getaway bag for any occasion.
