Do-it-yourself beauty recipes are both great for the soul and for the environment. Our selfcare recipes aim to inspire a moment of calm at the end of a busy day; combining plastic-free, natural ingredients and investing some time in yourself to leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvinated. These recipes focus on wellbeing, easing stress and ensuring calm.

Bath Salts for Glowing Skin

There's nothing quite as relaxing as a bath, with the natural magnesium in the salts perfect for soothing muscles. Rose, geranium and chamomile essential oils help to calm irritated skin and leave you with a glowing complexion. Simply combine the carrier oil with the essential oils and mix through the salts and dried flowers. Add half a cup of the mixture loose into your bath and soak. If you'd rather not sit in amongst the flowers, fill a cotton bag with your mix and leave it to infuse as you relax.

Lavender Calm Balm

If you find yourself rushed of your feet at the moment, mix yourself up this simple calming balm. Apply to pressure points and take a minute to yourself to breathe and reset. This also works great if you're struggling to get to sleep, or if you've got particularly bad menstrual cramps - just rub on your lower abdomen to soothe muscles.

Sunday is our favourite day of the week, beause it means self-care day. Spend the day switching off your phone and working through these steps to get yourself ready for the following week.

Essential Oil Blends for Spring

This week try making one of the below spring-themed, energising essential oil blends to put in your diffuser. Turn on the diffuser as you do some morning yoga or meditation – we promise it will help you start your day in a much more positive way.

Try one of the following three options:

2 drops peppermint
2 drops lemon
2 drops orange


3 drops bergamot 
2 drops peppermint
2 drops grapefruit 


2 drops lemongrass
2 drops lavender
2 drops eucalyptus

Lavender Pillow Mist

Try making this lavender pillow spray to help you unwind and get the best sleep ever. 

All you need is a small glass spray bottle in which to mix 1 tsp witch hazel, distilled water and 12 drops lavender oil.
