There are so many interesting and inspiring events, conferences and exhibitions taking place all of the time in this space, it can be hard to keep up.  That’s why in What’s On we will be keeping track the sustainability-focused events coming up around the world so you don’t have to.  You’re welcome!

April 12th - 'It Begins at the Source' with Venetia Falconer & Max La Manna

WHAT IS IT?

You might know The Source Bulk Foods from our Instagram Stories as we head there often (understatement of the year) to buy all our dry goods and snacks plastic-free. Eco-Age contributor Venetia Falconer will host a live episode of her podcast Talking Tastebuds with Max La Manna at The Source Bulk Foods Battersea store and they will be talking all things zero waste and how to reduce your food waste. Max will also host a live cooking demo of one of his zero waste recipes (on that note, did you try his zero-waste Broccoli stem pasta?)

WHERE IS IT?

Until 24th March - #NowYouSeeMe free display at the Design Museum

WHAT IS IT?

In 2018 End Youth Homelessness launcheded the #NowYouSeeMe campaign to raise awareness on what happens to young homeless kids that don't receive help from their council. EYH has teamed up with sculptor David Oiveira to create figures that represent this invisible youth.

WHEN CAN I GO?: Open daily 10:00 – 18:00 (Last exhibition entry 17:00)

9th and 10th March - Vegan Life Live

WHAT IS IT? London’s Alexandra Palace will play host to the third edition of Vegan Life Live - an annual two-day event founded by UK vegan magazine Vegan Life that aims to showcase the best of independent, ethical, vegan friendly products.

Expect to find vegan-friendly clothing, cosmetics, and household products as well as food and drinks.  Across the weekend there will be cooking demonstrations from leading vegan chefs and bloggers to inspire visitors with new ideas to take home.

2019 will also see the launch of the EcoLiving Zone - a new area bringing together experts on self-sufficiency, sustainability, and environmental mindfulness. Events will include lectures with some of the UK’s top zero-waste warriors, such as Natasha Ray from &keep, free yoga classes for children of all ages with Rainbow Yoga, and Medicinal Chefs sharing their top plant-based recipes.

Exhibitors this year include Deliciously Ella and plant-based activewear brand Carrot Banana Peach
