Chopard co-presidents Caroline Scheufele and Karl-Friedrich Scheufele hosted guests including Livia and Colin Firth, Marion Cotillard, Julianne Moore, Alexa Chung, Arizona Muse, Petra Nemcova and more in London as they celebrated the opening of Chopard’s New Bond Street boutique.  Watch our live coverage on YouTube and above.

Livia wore a Green Carpet Collection necklace in 18-carat white gold, Fairmined certified, set with traceable black opals and diamonds sourced form RJC-certified suppliers; an emerald ring set in 18-carat white gold and a pair of stud earrings in diamonds and 18-carat white gold.

As guests arrived on London’s prestigious shopping street, they were welcomed onto not the traditional red carpet – but a blue carpet with a green twist, created by Aquafil and Radici using ECONYL® Regenerated Nylon – a fibre that is made entirely from waste taken from oceans and landfills. The yarn performs in the same way as virgin nylon and can be recycled infinitely without ever losing its quality.

After the Chopard event on Bond Street, the carpet will be showcased in Chopard boutiques in Rome, Milan, and Florence before being regenerated into ECONYL® yarn for another adventure.

The Journey to Sustainable Luxury, launched in 2012, is Chopard’s commitment to sourcing responsibly throughout its supply chain. Through this journey, in July 2018, Chopard became the first luxury jewellery and watch Maison to create a 100% ethical gold supply chain. Just last month during Cannes Film Festival, Chopard announced its commitment to expand The Journey to Sustainable Luxury to include its luxury accessories collection – starting with responsibly-sourced leather evening bag, designed in collaboration with award-winning actress Chloë Sevigny.
