Eco- Age Vacancy: Senior PR Manager

Location:  Milan

Reports to: Head of PR and Chief Brand Officer

Direct reports:  Account Executive, PR Assistant, Intern level

The Role: 

To work with and support the Account Director and Chief Brand Officer. To effectively manage and help execute communication strategies for Eco-Age clients.  To proactively create and manage proposals and support on events that drive brand equity and deliver key business results. The Senior Public Relations Manager is responsible for managing all press relations and campaigns for the client account for which the role is responsible in consultation with the Director.

Context and expectation:

Develop and bring deep understanding of the client businesses and issues, sectors and wider trends and insights in communications and – crucially – sustainability. Use this knowledge to build valuable relationships with clients, internal team and all external stakeholders in order to develop solutions and deliver impactful and efficient work. 

Activities/duties include: 

  • Planning, doing and reviewing PR strategies and campaigns
  • Managing a portfolio of client accounts
  • Building and maintaining a network of media contacts including journalists and industry spokespeople
  • Being the daily point of contact with key media contacts
  • Keeping abreast of current PR trends and tools
  • Building and maintaining relationships with existing and new clients
  • Liaising and updating clients regarding press campaigns, creative projects and PR solutions
  • Developing news angles, stories and pitches to further the client’s profile, products and services
  • Providing innovative and creative ideas to clients, including social media strategies and all forms of communication avenues
  • Placing client stories (spokespeople and products) in the media (newspapers, magazines, radio, television and online news sites)
  • Analysing PR coverage and providing written reports to clients and internally
  • Writing and producing presentations and press releases
  • Managing and mentoring junior members of the team
  • Overseeing news coverage monitoring every morning to ensure that relevant articles are highlighted
  • Overseeing development and updating of media lists
  • Proofreading copy written by junior members of the team to ensure it is well written, factual and accurate
